Welcome to Centre Pointe Dance School's New Website

Centre Pointe Dance School has been established in Shrewsbury for eight years. In September 2010 a move was made to set up home at 23a St Mary’s Street, Shrewsbury. In St Mary’s Street you will find us between Vinegar Hill and the new Waitrose store.
Since that move we've been able to expand the range of classes, introduce the Melody Bear Movement syllabus and extend the ages being taught (18mths - adults). Classes are available in ballet, modern and tap and we hold workshops for drama and singing.
Our drama and dance workshops during half term holidays have proved a great success with current pupils and children from outside the school joining together to have great fun, make new friends and learn new skills.
At Centre Pointe Dance School, we thrive on creating a family atmosphere, and enjoy passing on sound technique whilst having fun! We hope to keep expanding, so if students or parents have any ideas or requests for classes please let us know.
The school follows ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) syllabi. Examinations are available (subject to the discretion of the teacher) to those wishing to take them, but exams are never compulsory. Our specific aim is to encourage enjoyment of dance!
We are delighted that pupils from Centre Pointe Dance School have further developed their love of dance by successfully attending university dance courses, and studying full time at vocational dance and drama schools.
